Dapping tools are used to shape softer metals and waxes by punching into the depression of the blockes and dies. The punches and blocks are matched so that perfect hemispheres and domes can be formed in specified sizes. Set includes high-grade, properly hardened steel block with 14 hemispherical depressions in two rows, graded by 1/16" (1.6 mm), from 1/8" (3.2 mm) to 7/8" (22 mm), plus 1" (25 mm) and 11 matching punches. Block measures 5-1/8" x 2-1/2" x 3/4" (130 x 64 x 19 mm).
